JOBPURPOSE
- Bethefirstpointofcontactforcustomersbyphone,email,andinpersonofferingfast,friendly, and knowledgeable support, responding to queries on orders, deliveries, pricing, etc.
- Accuratelylogandprocesscustomerorders,smoothlycoordinatingwithotherdepartments.
- Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithcustomersandsupportourfield stafftoenhanceclient satisfaction.
- DelivercrossfunctionalrolewithFinance,whenrequired.
- Providecoverintheweighbridgewhenneeded(trainingwillbeprovided).
KEY DUTIES (A Flavour)
- Serveastheprimarycontactforcustomerqueriesviaphoneandemail,providingtimelyupdates, expert product advice, and order information.
- Accurately log and process customer orders using our CRM system, ensuring prompt and error-free dispatch.
- Collaborate with production and dispatch teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
- Foster strong relationships with customers and colleagues through regular, professional communication.
- Support the external sales team with administrative tasks, account management, and order capture.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell based on customer needs.
- Stay informed on industry developments to provide knowledgeable support.
- Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Provide a cross functional role with finance, when required, including raising invoices and maintaining customer pricing files, etc.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate how they meet points 1-9 on their CV
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in customer-facing role (ideally in FMCG or manufacturing/production)
- Have 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C, (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and sales abilities with a professional attitude.
- Mustexcelinprofessionalcommunicationacrosswritten,spoken,andactivelisteningformats.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills.
- 6.High attention to detail with precise and accurate data handling.
- Proficient in MS Office, IT systems and databases (ideally experience with order processing software).
- Friendly and approachable, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must currently have eligibility to work in the UK.
