On behalf of our client, a leading global manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), we are seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Manufacturing / Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the cutting and machine shop areas. Working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, youll plan, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for sub-components and final assembly.

  • Introduce and maintain best-practice processes on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Develop and refine nesting strategies and BOM management.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop, validate, and improve capital equipment and tooling capability.

  • Plan and manage projects, including risk assessment, resource scheduling, cost control, and final approval.

  • Identify and deliver process and project improvements using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role within a production or engineering environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Hands-on approach with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
