Business Advisor
My client is a leading manufacturer with a standing and significant presence throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Business Advisor to join their team covering County Fermanagh and Tyrone. This role is fully remote.
This is a Full-Time Permanent Position.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (flexible working, core hours 10am-2pm)
With a basic salary of £35,500 per annum.

Job Role:
You will be responsible for visiting numerous businesses which sell tobacco and nicotine products within a specific area. Developing relationships with the business decision makers, sharing the commercial benefits and importance of the availability of products. This will include upselling, negotiating trading agreements and problem solving.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Relationship building with experience of upselling products.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to tight deadlines and KPI’s.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Full Driving Licence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field based – visiting several shops per day, collecting tobacco products from a local cash and carry’s each week and return these at the end of the week, reconciling stock sold and payments, including cash received.
- Build relationships with shop owners and regional shop owners and educate them on products.
- Use your negotiation and influencing skills to sell physical products directly to the shop owner and create Trading Agreements to drive availability of products.
- Proactively predict and handle objections and tactically use business information to strengthen selling arguments, for example informing the retailer on performance versus agreement terms.
- Educate and influence the retailer on the best way to manage the tobacco category. You will work with shop staff to identify where products are out of stock to help ensure they are available, educate shop staff on the company brands and ensure products are on shelf in the correct position.
- Plan and execute activities by analysing data collected from shops to maximise business opportunities in your geographical area. Evaluate successes and leanings to further develop in the future.
- Utilise a budget to support your activities in your geographic area and invest it based on the analysis of your account data to get the best return on investment.
- Collect data in stores (pricing and distribution) and analyse factual data from your ground to support local knowledge and identify opportunities for future planning, monitor competitor, retailer and all category activity in store.
- Deliver against set budgets for your ground (as agreed with line manager). Identify, execute and evaluate commercial opportunities using trading agreements to maximise account performance and deliver profitable share growth, utilising tools such as Volume Agreements, Verbalisation & Price Contribution Payments where applicable.
