About the job
We are recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Technician to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Ballynahinch on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure to a wide variety of clients and develop within a growing practice offering great autonomy and progression.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for and assisting with the following duties:

Processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation, including data entry into accounting software

Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies

Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
-
Bank account and credit card reconciliations

Processing payroll for multiple clients
-
Preparation of statutory reports (VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat)

Assisting with preparation of management accounts as required
Your skills & experience
-
Proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel is essential

At least 2 years experience in a similar accounts or bookkeeping role (practice experience desirable but not essential)

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients
