This initiative will shape the firm’s future technology strategy, with a focus on innovation, compliance, and operational excellence. We are seeking an accomplished technology leader with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex solutions in the financial services sector – specifically within trade surveillance, compliance, or related regulatory technologies.
The Opportunity
As the Technology Director, you will:
- Define and drive the strategic vision for the Centre of Excellence, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- You’ll lead and scale high-performing teams, building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability for a function with plans to grow to 100 over the next few years.
- Oversee the development and enhancement of trade surveillance, transaction monitoring and compliance-related platforms and tools, ensuring they meet evolving global regulatory standards.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across technology, compliance, and business functions to deliver transformative outcomes.
- You’ll champion modern engineering practices and establish best-in-class delivery frameworks for the wider organisation.
About You
We are looking for a leader who can combine deep financial services expertise with outstanding people leadership skills. You will bring:
- Extensive experience in financial services technology, with direct involvement in trade surveillance, compliance and/or transaction monitoring, or regulatory platforms.
- A strong track record of leading, mentoring, and scaling technology teams in dynamic environments.
- Proven ability to drive large-scale technology transformation programmes in complex, regulated organisations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at C-suite level.
- A passion for building something new and leaving a lasting impact.
