Job Summary

PEAT+ Project Ecologist
Ulster Wildlife is looking for a passionate and skilled Project Ecologist to join the ambitious PEAT+ Project.
In this exciting role, you’ll lead on ecological monitoring across a network of upland and lowland peatland sites, supporting project partners in delivering baseline surveys, biodiversity assessments, and mapping. You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders—from conservation staff and landowners to volunteers and local communities.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Comprehensive knowledge of flora, fauna and key nature conservation issues • Technical knowledge of peatland ecology and restoration• Strong ecological survey and monitoring skills• Experience analysing data and producing scientific reports• Confidence working in the field and building relationships with farmers and landowners• Experience in the use of GIS software to map, collect and analyse environmental data.

Full-time, Fixed-term to 31 March 2029, unless renewed.
