About the role

Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, youll be the key people business partner for leaders across functions, bringing our people culture to life by supporting performance, solving problems, and helping us grow with purpose. How You Will Make an Impact?
Youll be the go-to partner for leaders across our business, helping them grow their teams, solve problems with empathy and clarity, and build a culture where care and performance go hand in hand. Working closely with our Head of People & Culture, youll bring our strategy to life, champion inclusion, and help us grow with purpose.
What youll be doing:
- Be a trusted partner guiding senior leaders with sound, people-focused advice, from employee relations to organisational change.
- Shape culture embed our values, coach leaders, and help create a workplace where everyone belongs.
- Build talent support smart hiring, onboarding, and succession planning to get the right people in the right roles.
- Grow capability help identify skill gaps, nurture future leaders, and make learning part of our everyday.
- Drive performance & engagement from fair feedback to wellbeing initiatives, youll help people feel valued and inspired.
- Do the special things bring creativity and heart to projects that dont fit the usual boxes.
What were looking for:
- Proven experience as a People & Culture or HR Business Partner in specialist functions such as R&D and STEM roles
- Strong ER experience including restructuring and redundancies
- Previous experience leading or managing other HR professionals
- Strong HR generalist skills and excellent UK employment law knowledge
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset you love to fix, improve, and innovate
- Empathy, integrity, and a belief in the power of people
- The ability to balance strategy with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, growing organisation
Ideally youll also have:
- Level 7 CIPD qualification
- Experience with Trade Unions
- Strong technical skills and a flair for using AI in HR practices
