ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Integrations Squad works within the engineering team of the Kainos product team. We are responsible for the Workday integration suite supporting extend applications, which includes developing new integrations, improving existing integrations, supporting deployment of the application and data conversion efforts for onboarding customers and assisting with support of existing customers.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As a Lead Workday Integrations Engineer in Kainos, you’ll work as part of a team of consultants and engineers to design, deliver and maintain a suite of integrations utilized in our extend applications.
As a knowledgeable expert in integrations, you will work closely with internal and external customers to lead the integrations workstream of a project, scope, gather requirements, document, implement, deploy and support integration solutions, using the Workday integration platform toolset.
You’ll build strong relationships with our engineering, support and consultant teams to understand their requirements, ensuring that the integration solution is aligned to all needs, fit for purpose and commercially viable. You’ll be a key contributor to guiding, developing and educating others within the Workday practice on the area of Integrations.
Minimum (essential) requirements:

6+ years of professional work experience with integration development with an emphasis on Studio development
-
Workday Integrations Certification
-
Workday Studio Certification
-
Strong proficiency with XML, XPath and XSLT, and be knowledgeable in an object oriented programming language (preferably J2EE)

Experience working in agile environments with tools like JIRA
-
Experience designing workflows and mapping integration data flows
-
Good understanding of cloud computing, web services and associated integration challenges
-
Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs, build relationships and manage customer expectations. You will know when to push back, when to escalate, and when to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer;

Strong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences;

Strong commercial awareness and full understanding of project and business dynamics;

Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends in both HR and HR technology;

Ability to widen and maintain a network of contacts;

Strong development skills;

Willing and able to act as a role model within the capability and mentor and/or line manage more junior consultants;

Able to implement improvements in tools and/or processes to help the product
DESIRABLE:

Workday Extend Certified, or experience with application development

Knowledge about Workday Marketplace and deployment patterns used

Experience of managing, mentoring and developing teams

Reviewing weekly workload forecasting (staff allocations and timesheet checks) and utilisation
