This two-year role has been created to support the implementation of Visit Belfasts new digital strategy across web and email. As part of the digital team, the Digital Marketing Executive will play a key delivery role in coordinating website content updates, email marketing campaigns, and digital reporting.
Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager, the postholder will assist in content formatting, uploading and optimisation; campaign landing page coordination; CRM segmentation and e-zine delivery; and performance monitoring across Visit Belfasts owned digital platforms.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, technical confidence, and an interest in digital marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Upload and update content across
- Visit Belfasts websites using the CMS (Simpleview), ensuring accuracy, SEO alignment, and brand consistency.
- Build and maintain landing pages, itineraries and campaign hubs based on supplied copy and creative.
- Coordinate content updates in line with campaign rollouts, seasonal activity and visitor needs.
- Assist in the rollout of digital content for key campaigns, events and city activations.
- Schedule and publish content in alignmentwithseasonalburstsandcampaign timelines.
- Segment audiences using CRM interest groups and subscriber data, and monitor performance by tracking open rates, click-through rates, and overall subscriber engagement
- Brief creative where required and coordinate with designers,photographersandvideographerstodeliver stand-out assets.
- Collaboratewiththemarketingteamto support paid campaigns,event activationsandmajormoments(e.g.Fleadh,Christmas,seasonal launches).
- Supportthecreationanddeliveryof emailcampaignsande-zinesusing Mailchimp,including building and testingresponsivetemplatesand optimising performance for maximumengagement.
- Liaisewithinternalteamsandcity partnerstoensureaccurate,up-to-datelistingsanddigitalfeatures,tagging and attributing partner contentinlinewithVisitBelfasts editorial and measurement frameworks,andmaintainingadigitalcontentcalendaralignedwithwider campaign activity.
- TrackcontentandemailperformancethroughGA4,Mailchimp,Search Console and dashboards
- Produce regular reports highlighting whats working,where to improve,andhowaudiencesareengagingwithcontent.
- A sharp awareness of emerging content trends, paired with the creativity to adapt and translate them into fresh, engaging content that resonates with target audiences.

Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent qualification RelevantExperience
- Atleast12yearsinadigitalmarketingor content support role.
- ExperienceusingCMSplatforms(e.g.,WordPress,Simplevieworsimilar)to build and update content.
- WorkingknowledgeofGoogleAnalytics(GA4),UTMtaggingandreporting dashboards.
- Familiaritywithemailmarketingtools(e.g.,Mailchimp),including email building and testing.
- Highlyorganisedwithstrongattentionto detail,abletomanagemultiplecontent shoots and deadlines.
- Strong written English and attention to detail in copyediting and formatting.

- Qualification in a relevant discipline, such as tourism, marketing or Media.
RelevantExperience
- Familiarity with tourism, lifestyle or city brand content is a plus.
- Photography skills and confidence appearing on camera if needed.
