This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking finance professional to join one of the most respected names in heavy manufacturing. You will play a key role in providing financial insight, driving efficiency, and supporting informed decision-making across the site.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting both operational and strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role, with a strong emphasis on analysis, business partnering, and process improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
- Supporting the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Working closely with operations to monitor costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Preparing financial analysis to support investment decisions and operational projects.
- Assisting with internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Supporting group reporting and shared services processes.
Essential Criteria
- A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or working towards full qualification.
- Strong management accounts experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Desirable
- Experience in a multi-site or group reporting environment.
- Knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting.
