Youll work closely with the Financial Accountant and Controller, playing a key role in preparing accurate financial information, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained. Key Responsibilities
-
Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journals

Maintain the fixed asset register and perform key balance sheet reconciliations
-
Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
-
Process and reconcile purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions

Assist with cash flow forecasting and variance analysis

Work with internal teams and external auditors to support year-end activities
-
Identify and suggest process improvements within the finance function
Skills & Experience Required
-
Part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant
-
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant role

Proficient in Excel and confident using accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle)

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
