Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction company delivering a mix of residential and commercial projects across Northern Ireland and the UK. This is an opportunity for a driven individual who is commercially astute and keen to take ownership of major schemes from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:
* Appoint and negotiate with sub-contractors on projects
* Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment through to final account
* Take the commercial lead on schemes, including valuations and variations
* Submit valuations and variations to clients accurately and timely
* Prepare monthly cost reports in line with project budgets
* Build strong working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site Teams
* Identify and resolve cost-related issues efficiently
* Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within your project team
* Undertake additional duties as required
The Person:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Minimum of 10 years’ post-grad experience, ideally within residential and commercial construction
* Confident in estimating, pricing variations and contract negotiation
* Knowledgeable in JCT / NEC / PWC forms of contract
* Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
* UK travel required bi-weekly and UK Driving Licence
