The Head of Environmental Health & Safety will be responsible for a small EHS team and managing the implementation of effective EHS systems.
You will focus on minimizing risks, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive work culture focused on employee well-being and sustainability.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute plans, as well as monitor industry trends and regulations.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Lead and manage a small team of EHS professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training to be effective.

Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into all business operations.

Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas of noncompliance and recommend improvements.

Prepare and present reports to senior management on EHS initiatives and progress.
ABOUT YOU
-
NEBOSH Diploma
-
Experience in environmental health and safety management within an industrial setting.
-
Previous experience managing a small Health & Safety team
-
Knowledge of international standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001.

Familiarity with UK EHS regulations and enforcement mechanisms.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
