Senior Commercial Solicitor – Commercial & Technology
Belfast/Hybrid
Salary: £60,000-£75,000 DOE plus benefits
Signatus is partnering with a leading Commercial and Technology law practice in Northern Ireland seeking a talented and ambitious qualified solicitor with 5+ years post-qualification experience to join their fast-growing Commercial & Technology team. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most significant and complex commercial transactions across the jurisdiction from their Belfast office.
The team delivers an extensive range of legal services covering Commercial Contracts, Data Protection, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Intellectual Property. Known for offering innovative, practical, and commercially focused legal advice, the practice supports a diverse client base including tech companies, multinational corporations, and start-ups.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising clients on complex commercial and technology law matters including drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements
- Providing counsel on data protection compliance, AI regulations, cyber security risks, and intellectual property protection
- Leading and managing significant commercial transactions and projects
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive engagement and business development
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams internally and externally to deliver outstanding client service
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE, preferably gained in a commercial or technology law practice
- Experience working in a large, medium, or boutique commercial law firm environment
- Strong technical knowledge paired with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Clear and effective communicator with exceptional client management abilities
- Proven business development skills and a commercially minded approach
- Organised, able to prioritise workload efficiently and work both independently and collaboratively
- A proactive team player committed to upholding the firm’s culture and core values
- Enthusiastic about ongoing professional development and keen to expand technical expertise
