– THE ROLE –

The postholder will support the Universitys Data Protection and Information Compliance Manager to develop, manage, implement, and promote policies, procedures, strategies, and services within the University to ensure compliance with all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time-to-time in the UK including UK GDPR; the Data Protection Act 2018; the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2003 as amended; and any other applicable non-domestic legislation and regulatory requirements relating to personal data in force from time to time, including guidance and codes of practice issued by the relevant data protection or supervisory authority (Data Protection Legislation).

They will also support the Universitys Data Protection and Information Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, ensuring the development, management and implementation of procedures and services in this area.

– ABOUT YOU –

The postholder will be required to have:

– BTEC HNC/D, Foundation Degree, or equivalent qualification

– A Data Protection Practitioner Certificate

– Substantial, relevant experience working within an Information Compliance environment (data protection and freedom of information) within a large, diverse organisation
