Accounting Technician required to join our client the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service working as part of their Finance & Corporate Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial operations of one of Northern Irelands most essential public services.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, 36.25 hours per week with a pay rate of £19.11 per hour.
As an Accounting Technician, you will support the Finance function by:
- Preparing and processing financial transactions and journals
- Assisting in budget monitoring and financial reporting
- Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting audit processes and year-end procedures
- Ensuring compliance with public sector financial policies and procedures
What We Need From You
- x5 GCSEs grades A*-C including Math and English 2 years experience working in a Finance environment in a medium to large organisation, to include:
- Preparing journals and completing month-end reconciliations.
- Working with a computerised accounts package
- Using advanced excel skills to capture and analyse data for information and reporting purposes.
