Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Goods In/Out Operative to manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure stock accuracy, maintain a well-organized workspace, and contribute to the efficient operation of the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods In: Receive, inspect, and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
- Stock Management: Accurately record goods received and ensure correct storage.
- Quality Control: Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Workshop Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Order Picking & Packing: Prepare and pack outgoing shipments in line with company standards.
- Goods Out: Ensure timely & safe dispatch of orders.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stock audits.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse/logistics role preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment preferred but not essential.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items.
- Basic IT skills for stock recording and processing orders.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Fork lift license / willing to be trained.
- Experience in MRP software system.
