Position: Accounts Administrator

Location: Antrim

Duration: Permanent

Pay Rate: £28,000 per annum

Hours of work: 08:30-17:30 Monday – Friday

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to manage accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include processing payments, managing invoices, reconciling records, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge and experience in financial administration.

Duties will include:

  • Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors
  • Process and reconcile daily incoming and outgoing bank transactions
  • Monitor, allocate, and follow up on outstanding customer payments
  • Prepare and process bank lodgements as required
  • Review and verify purchase invoices for correct pricing and accuracy before uploading to the system
  • Enter and allocate all purchase invoices (including non-saleable items) into the accounting system
  • Prepare, issue, and store customer invoices and monthly account statements
  • Maintain and update internal accounting records, including new customer account setups and changes to account terms
  • Submit tax returns and forms in line with revenue deadlines
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in accounts
  • Provide regular reports on the status of accounts payable and receivable
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required

Essential Criteria:

Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and credit control processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of financial formulas and spreadsheet creationHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entryExperience using accounting softwareStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines effectively
