HAYS Architecture and Design NI are currently working with a progressive Practice in Belfast in their search for an experienced Architect to join their collaborative team. Your new role
As an experienced Architect within this vibrant studio, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping thoughtful, context-sensitive designs that enhance urban life across Belfast and beyond. From leading projects through all RIBA work stages to mentoring junior colleagues, you shall collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure each development is both functional and inspiring. In terms of day-to-day, you’ll work on concept development, technical detailing, planning submissions, and site coordination, all while championing the company’s core values of respect, creativity, and inclusion. This is a position for someone who thrives in a dynamic studio culture, values sustainable design, and seeks to make a meaningful impact through architecture.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be considered, applicants should hold ARB registration and possess a minimum of five years’ post-Part III professional experience, ideally within design-led practices. Strong conceptual thinking paired with technical proficiency across all RIBA work stages is essential, along with excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors. Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is highly advantageous, and a demonstrable commitment to sustainable, inclusive design will set candidates apart. Successful applicants will be proactive problem-solvers who bring creativity, attention to detail, and collaborative energy to every project they undertake.
