The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to join a busy and respected Litigation team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of contentious matters, with a particular focus on personal injury and medical negligence cases. The role is ideal for an ambitious and detail-oriented solicitor looking to build a strong foundation in litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of litigation files under supervision
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel, and other third parties
- Attending court hearings and case management discussions
- Conducting legal research and reviewing evidence
- Supporting senior solicitors on complex or high-value cases
- Ensuring compliance with procedural deadlines and professional standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor (NQ or up to 1 year PQE) in Northern Ireland
- Experience in personal injury and/or medical negligence during training or post-qualification is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
