Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Were working with a well-established engineering firm in the heavy machinery space who are expanding their design team due to continued growth. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, bonus, and long-term progression within a successful, forward-thinking business.
What youll be doing:
- Lead the mechanical design of heavy machinery and equipment from concept through to production
- Produce and review 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Provide engineering support during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning phases
- Contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues as they arise
What were looking for:
- Solid experience in mechanical design ideally within heavy machinery or a similar sector
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and industry standards
- Problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail
- Good communicator and team player
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
