This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive company during a key period of growth, offering long-term stability and the chance to contribute meaningfully to ongoing digital transformation projects.

About the Role:

In this position, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day support and lifecycle management of all IT hardware assets across multiple operational sites. From production-critical devices like scanners and terminals, to network infrastructure, virtual environments and cloud-based services, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring all systems run efficiently and securely. You’ll collaborate closely with the wider IT function to deliver strategic upgrades, manage vendor relationships, and deliver front-line support and improvements across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as the first line of support for IT hardware and software issues, providing professional support in person, over the phone and by email.

  • Take full responsibility for tracking and managing all IT assets, ensuring accurate records and timely maintenance.

  • Deliver support for production-based IT hardware including PDAs, printers, terminals and specialist equipment.

  • Perform hands-on installation, upgrades, diagnostics and configuration across all user and infrastructure devices.

  • Identify root causes through trend analysis and propose effective solutions to mitigate recurring issues.

  • Lead maintenance activities including workstation inspections, preventative checks and system tuning.

  • Support users in their adoption of new technology by delivering clear, tailored training sessions.

  • Manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Active Directory, Hyper-V and SharePoint.

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, backup management and endpoint compliance.

  • Work closely with the Head of IT on project delivery, infrastructure improvements and network security.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • A strong understanding of end-user hardware, servers, and infrastructure technologies.

  • Solid experience managing virtualised environments and hybrid cloud platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, Azure HCI).

  • Hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Azure services, SharePoint and endpoint management tools.

  • Skilled in Active Directory administration and Windows-based systems (server and desktop).

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with minimal supervision.

  • Confidence working with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routers) and backup tools.

  • Effective communicator, capable of explaining technical concepts to users at all levels.

  • Highly organised with strong documentation habits and a proactive approach to support delivery.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A key role within a well-established organisation that values technology and innovation.

  • The opportunity to drive process improvements and take a leadership role in IT hardware management.

  • Exposure to enterprise-level IT infrastructure and large-scale transformation projects.

  • Supportive team culture and a forward-thinking environment committed to professional development.
