Job Overview
VANRATH are proudly supporting a well-established logistics company in their search for an HR Officer to support all areas of the business, while working closely with management.
- Salary: £29,000 – £32,000
- Full time, Permanent
- Early Friday finish
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee employee relations, including managing disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring consistent policy enforcement with management.
- Provide guidance and coaching to line managers and team leaders on HR matters.
- Assist with recruitment processes, from advertising roles and shortlisting candidates to conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant employee records within the HR system.
- Accurately process weekly payroll in a timely manner.
- Support external audits in coordination with the compliance team.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all HR and payroll activities.
- Compile and present HR reports for monthly management meetings.
- Represent HR during employee committee meetings.
- Lead HR projects and enhancements to improve employee engagement and streamline systems.
- Assist with upholding company Quality and Environmental standards as needed.
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years’ experience in a generalist/officer HR role.
- Relevant third-level qualification and/or CIPD qualification, or working towards one.
- Experience handling employee relations matters.
- Up-to-date understanding of employment legislation.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
