About the company
An established and respected business in the Newry area are seeking to add a Senior Finance Manager to their busy finance function. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a well-rounded role offering a market-leading salary and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join an established finance team with a forward-thinking company.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Accounts payable team, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of all outgoing payments.
- Consolidate financial reports from various departments and group entities.
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and KPIs, providing insights
- Ensure compliance by preparing and submitting VAT and RCT returns.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Lead year-end audits, liaising with auditors
- Develop and implement financial reporting policies and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members in their development.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA
- Experience managing staff
- Must be IT proficient and competent in use of Excel Spreadsheets, ERPs
- Able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of financial systems.
