Junior Project Manager – Engineering & Automation Projects (Open to Graduates – Engineering/Manufacturing Experience desirable)
About the Role:
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering firm specialising in automation and bespoke manufacturing solutions for industries like Water Treatment, Food Production, and Recycling. Due to ongoing growth, we’re looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their team and support the delivery of fast-paced engineering and manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for a graduate in Business, Engineering or related disciplines who is eager to learn and build a career in project management. If you’ve had some exposure to engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments – whether through a placement, internship or project – even better!

What You’ll Do:

Support the planning and delivery of automation and engineering projects

Coordinate between departments including Design, Production, and Procurement

Communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and internal teams

Help track budgets, project timelines, risks and key milestones

Improve how projects are delivered – from documentation to internal processes

Get hands-on with engineering teams and learn how real-world projects are delivered
About You:
You might currently be a Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Project Coordinator in a manufacturing environment – and you’re now ready to take the lead.
Ideal Background:
- A degree in Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar
- A proactive mindset, with strong organisational and communication skills
- Ideally, some experience in or exposure to a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment (e.g. internship, industrial placement, part-time job, final year project)
- Keen interest in project delivery, process improvement, and working cross-functionally
- Ability to read or understand technical information (training provided)
