We are hiring for our client, a highly regarded organisation based in Belfast, who are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering a high standard of service across a busy organisation.
This role will see you playing a key part in supporting the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and acting as a point of contact for payroll-related queries.

The Role:
• Process weekly and monthly payrolls in line with company deadlines
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies
• Maintain payroll records and support audit requirements
• Deal with employee payroll queries and resolve issues professionally
• Support payroll year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds and other statutory submissions
• Liaise with HR and finance departments to ensure accuracy of employee information
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the payroll function
The Person:
• Proven experience in a payroll processing role (minimum 2 years)
• Strong understanding of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP and pension legislation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in payroll software – Sage Payroll or similar
• Confident communicator with ability to work across teams
• Organised and able to manage competing deadlines
