Design Engineer (Heavy Engineering)
Excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a niche heavy machinery manufacturer who are based in the Cookstown area. They are working in a booming market and are now keen to fill this brand new additional role to accommodate the workload. This is a great opportunity to join a small but strong design team. On offer is a salary of £40,000 – £45,000 and hybrid working plus benefits.
Role –Design Engineer
- Design and develop new products from concept through to completion.
- Modify existing range of machinery to meet bespoke customer requirements.
- Produce working drawings and engineering specification including BOMs and operators manuals.
- Specify components for new and existing products.
- Ensure new and existing products comply with relevant regulations.
- Attend occasional client site visits to understand needs and establish most effective design.
Person –Design Engineer
- Experience in full product design in a heavy engineering environment such as recycling, screening & crushing, agricultural machinery, trailers or similar is essential
- Competent in the use of Solid Works / Solid Edge / Creo or similar
- A creative and innovative thinker.
- Good interpersonal skills.
