Job Title: Sales Ledger Team Leader

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Sales Ledger Team and lead on process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Finance function, as well as success in delivering and implementing successful value-added improvement projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the Finance team and the wider business to deliver a top-quality information, service and support function, that enables the company to achieve its objectives.
Key Accountabilities: –
- Oversee the Sales Ledger function, ensuring the processing of customer invoices and credit notes, statement generation and posting of customer receipts
- Coordinate, guide and train the Sales Ledger team
- Liaise with other Finance department personnel in areas impacting on the Sales Ledger and wider Finance department
- Liaise with internal departments and customers to resolve queries and discrepancies
- Working with the finance team on producing current KPI reports
- Continuously review opportunities for internal control enhancement within administrative processes
- Lead and manage value-added process improvement projects within the Finance department.
- Collaborate with other functions to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects when needed
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management
Person Specification: –
- 5+ years of experience in an office administration environment, preferably within Sales Ledger3 5 Years people management experience
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise with strong attention to detail, organising and planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of financial principles
- Possess 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
