Job Summary

Our Client is a specialist manufacturer within their sector. They have an opportunity for aProduction Manager to join their Senior Management Team

Job Overview:

The Production Manager will oversee all production activities, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves leading a team, coordinating with multiple departments, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve our companys production and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

Quality Control & Assurance

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Inventory & Resource Management: Oversee the implementation of Kanban or other inventory control methods to optimize resources and minimize waste.

Health & Safety:Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential risks proactively.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare and present regular production performance reports to the General Manager and Board.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation and Continuous Improvement. Champion Lean tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban, root cause analysis) to ensure sustained performance improvements.


Person Specification:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Management role, preferably in an electrical manufacturing environment however production management experience in other manufacturing environments will be considered.

o Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies.

o Familiarity with EPLAN or other CAD software (experience with 3D design is a plus).

o Ability to handle production scheduling, cost control, and project management effectively.
