Starting rate of £18.60 per hour for continental shift work + bonus

Leprino Foods Ltd is seeking to appoint a Dairy Process Operator(s) on a permanent basis. The role is based at the Magheralin site working across all operational departments. The successful candidate will be required to move across departments, be trained in all operational areas and be flexible and adaptable to ensure all areas are covered.

The successful candidates will be required to:

• Comply with all PSOPs and safe working practices.
• Monitor product and process performance and carrying out all necessary quality tests.
• Make appropriate process and quality adjustments to ensure product compliance with internal and external standards.
• Effectively communicate with all appropriate personnel within your sphere of responsibility.
• Work in all departments which may be at short notice
• Complete training and strive to become a multi skilled operator
• Work a combination of shifts as and when needed

The successful candidates must have:

Essential:

• Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Competent numeracy and literacy skills
• Knowledge of standards, equipment and/or processes within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and what constitutes a safe place of work.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to display initiative and apply problem solving and planning skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Commitment to quality.
• Flexibility and adaptable to change
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour, continental shifts with weekend and night shift work included.

Desirable:

• English, Maths GCSE/O Level or equivalent min of C Grade.
• Relevant experience in food / dairy manufacturing and production.
• Knowledge of equipment and processes within the food / dairy production environment.
