Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Dublin
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical plant in Dublin. The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee all mechanical maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities in accordance with GMP standards.
- Ensure all mechanical systems, including HVAC, clean utilities (WFI, Purified Water, Steam), and process equipment, are maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations with minimal downtime.
- Maintain detailed documentation and maintenance logs in compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, HPRA).
- Assist in planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for mechanical failures.
- Support qualification and validation activities for new and existing equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with EHS regulations.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety standards.
- Provide training, development, and technical support to mechanical technicians.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, validation protocols, cleanroom practices, and pharmaceutical utilities.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS, SAP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
