About Your New Job
As the CHP Technician, you will:
- Ensure high levels of Health, Safety, and Environmental practice: Maintain and operate the plant following policy and procedure.
- Perform first-line maintenance and repairs: Carry out repairs and maintenance on CHP assets and auxiliary equipment, including gas handling equipment, blowers, compressors, and filtration systems.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and reporting: Utilize mechanical, electrical, and C&I fault finding techniques on various process equipment, including pumps, macerators, and mechanical sorting equipment.
- Assist with stock management and procurement: Support the maintenance manager and contribute to on-site capital projects.
What Skills You Need
- Qualifications: UK driving license, GCSE level including Math’s and English, Engineering qualification, Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Experience: Time served technician working with combustion engines, mechanical handling equipment, and processes.
- Professional Skills: Honest, approachable, flexible, and a self-starter able to communicate effectively with third-party sub-contractors, operators, and management. Attention to detail and accuracy.
