  • An experienced engineering professional (min. 5 years) within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, ideally in food.
  • Strong in people management, team development, and communication.
  • Skilled in planning and project management.
  • Knowledgeable about PLCs, automation, and site services.
  • Driven to embed a culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Duties:

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the engineering department, including shift engineering staff
  • Driving reliability and efficiency across production equipment and site infrastructure
  • Developing and executing a preventative maintenance strategy
  • Managing capital projects, installations, and equipment upgrades
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., H&S, engineering standards)
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis of equipment downtime
  • Managing engineering budgets and procurement of spares and equipment
  • Working closely with production, quality, and senior leadership to support operational performance
