SQL DBA New Vacancy created Mid-Ulster HQ WFH / Hybrid working on offer
A rare and exciting new vacancy exclusive to Baillie Martin IT, a Top 100 NI employer is seeking to recruit a SQL DBA to work closely with their rapidly expanding inhouse data engineering & development team. This DBA role will be responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of the SQL Server database platforms & BI data feeds.
Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include:
- Managing SQL Server instances in a virtualised environment
- Managing ETL Loads
- Managing production databases
- Performance Tuning and optimisation (PTO)
- Managing High Availability of SQL Server databases
- Managing database backups and disaster recovery
- Helping Developers to improve database performance
We are looking for a person that has:
- Solid experience with Database Administration for Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
- Good knowledge of T-SQL and scripting (including PowerShell)
- Good knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
