VANRATH is delighted to be assisting a highly respected public sector body in the recruitment of a Human Resources Supervisor to join a well-established HR function within the Corporate Services Directorate. This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic and influential environment where your expertise will help shape people policies and support key organisational functions.

About the Role:
The HR function is structured into three distinct teams: HR Services, Learning & Development, and Recruitment. As HR Supervisor, you will work closely with HR Team Managers to ensure smooth delivery of core HR services, particularly in recruitment and onboarding, while also providing expert advice and support across a broad range of HR policies and procedures.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a busy, structured environment and enjoys both strategic contribution and hands-on service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate effective recruitment campaigns, including scheduling interviews and supporting selection panels.
  • Oversee onboarding activities, ensuring new employees have a seamless introduction to the organisation.
  • Provide clear and accurate HR policy advice to managers and staff.
  • Support the HR Services Team Manager with case management and employee relations matters.
  • Maintain high-quality HR records, reporting and management information in line with data protection legislation.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, researching best practice and legislative updates.
  • Assist in managing and optimising the integrated HR and Payroll systems.

Essential Criteria:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1:

  • Hold a CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Management (or equivalent/higher qualification)
    and
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in:
  • Working in a Human Resources Office, providing administrative support for a range of Human Resources services to tight deadlines.
  • Assist with the planning, organising and co-ordinating of efficient and effective recruitment competitions. This will include arranging meetings and interviews and providing advice and guidance to selection panels in line with the relevant policies.
  • Using effective verbal and written communication skills to accurately and clearly explain Human Resources policy and procedures to staff and managers.
  • Effectively using Microsoft Office packages, to include MS Word, Outlook and Excel as well as Human Resources Management Systems for recruitment to produce accurate and timely management information and prepare Human Resources documents.

Option 2:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience covering all areas outlined above, in lieu of the qualification.
