The successful candidate will work as part of a Support Services Team, delivering a high-quality, safe and effective service to clients that has a positive impact on the wider community in accordance with contractual obligations and company Policies & Procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To provide Housing related support to assist clients live independently in the community. (This will not include personal care tasks).
- To be available to work at times appropriate to the changing needs of the client and for the efficient use of staff resources
- To assist in the assessment of needs and risks as relevant to each Client and to assist to set and attain realistic and achievable targets
- To monitor and record the client’s progress and support tasks delivered during shift.
- To provide a range of services appropriate to the individuals needs
- To assist Clients develop the skills needed to attain, maintain and sustain stable tenancies
- To promote Client involvement and active participation in the service.
- To work in a multi-agency manner with relevant professionals
- To act as an advocate for Clients as appropriate
What we need from you;
- Minimum of one years’ work experience, working within housing, social care or equivalent setting with vulnerable Clients (Young People, Children or Adults)
- Knowledge of Safeguarding issues, practices, and procedures
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Able to demonstrate good recording and reporting skills
- Proven ability to effectively support and work as a member of a team
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Able to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy
- Strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement and the delivery of best practice
- Able to demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation, confidence and ability to use initiative
- Good organisational skills
- Able to be flexible on approach to work and adaptable to change.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required
- Full EU Driving Licence and access to a car
