The Job Summary:
Wrightbus is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that has seen significant expansion over the past year. We are seeking a Service Campaign Manager to ensure the successful rollout of proactive rework initiatives (campaigns’) for vehicles in the field.
This key role within the Aftermarket Division leads and coordinates proactive rework activities across customer fleets. The Service Campaign Manager will manage the campaign team, evaluate campaign scope, and ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
Acting as the bridge between engineering, customers, service engineers, and senior management, the postholder ensures campaigns are well-justified, clearly communicated, and delivered successfully.
The Role:
- Develop and deliver detailed plans for vehicle retrofit campaigns, including assessment documents to support senior decision-making.
- Evaluate campaign necessity by factoring in safety, customer demand, cost, and other key criteria.
- Calculate costs and estimate timelines based on labour, parts, and vehicle availability.
- Manage the campaign team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient field execution.
- Assess engineering work instructions for real-world feasibility and align with TSB guidance.
- Plan effective recall/retrofit work teams and monitor vehicle completions through regular communication.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers for smooth implementation.
- Control campaign stock via Sage, handle material sales orders and investigate discrepancies.
- Build strong working relationships across customers, depots, engineering, and service teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer communication and traceability of changes.
- Verify subcontractor invoices, manage budgets, and monitor resource allocation to deliver within timing plans.
- Track and report campaign progress internally and externally, including weekly senior updates.
Learning and Development:
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, and Procurement to address issues, ensure part availability, and support improvements.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project or service management role within a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing a team or leading cross-functional project teams.
- Strong understanding of technical engineering documents and the ability to translate into practical implementation.
- Excellent organisational, planning and task management skills.
- Financial awareness, including budgeting and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools.
