VANRATH are assisting our client, a large scale manufacturer, in their search for a Procurement Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the company’s Lisburn office – Permanent role
- Salary: Negotiable
- Monday to Friday (8.00am – 4.30pm, and 12.30pm finish on Friday!)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and maximise purchasing power.
- Negotiate favourable contracts with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and periodic reviews.
- Maintain stock control and audit systems to meet production, delivery targets, and business objectives.
- Oversee goods-inwards and storage operations for efficiency, safety, and optimal space utilisation.
- Maintain and monitor the central materials budget to control purchasing costs effectively.
- Analyse customer schedules, forecast material requirements, and provide purchase orders to suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety regulations while driving continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop staff to maintain high performance, training, and motivation standards.
- Support IT system improvements and implement operational enhancements.
