Job Title: Head of Project Delivery for the Peace Plus Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre (HF-TIC) Department/School: School of Engineering Campus: Belfast campus Salary: £59,172 – £68,567 per annum Duration: Fixed-term until 28th June 2029 Closing Date: 6th July 2025 Reference Number: 036367 – ABOUT US – We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland. Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. – THE ROLE – The post holder will manage the research and innovation portfolio at the new Peace Plus Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre led by Ulster University. This will include managing project reviews and board allocations, projects monitoring (KPI), funder and partner liaison, managing a small team of technical project managers to ensure the success of all projects. This role is a fantastic opportunity for any candidate who wants to play a key role in a world class innovation ecosystem developing products to solve globally impactful issues faced by humanity. Led by Ulster University, which has a 40+ yr track record in health technology innovation, HF-TIC builds upon a 20-yr partnership, strengthened by the INTERREG VA Eastern Corridor Medical Engineering Centre (ECME). We may create a 12-month waiting list for same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts. – ABOUT YOU – The postholder will be required to have: – Masters degree or equivalent level in Engineering, Computing or relevant Business-related area. – Substantial business development / engineering engagement / stakeholder engagement experience with clear evidence of successful delivery against the relevant project objectives. – Evidence of a substantial track record of initiating and monitoring projects, operating in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines and closing projects.
