Post: Care Assistant Location: Aaron House 40 Rosneath Gardens Ballyoran, Dundonald Responsible to: The Home Manager Hours: Full and part time hours available (Days or Nights) Salary: £11.89 per hour Role:The Care Assistant will carry out a high standard of care and assist to meet residents individual needs within a caring environment. Background information Aaron House is a Residential Care Home for 16 individuals with profound learning disabilities. Attached to the Home there is a Day Care Facility for up to 9 individuals. The Home operates a No Smoking Policy ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Qualifications and Knowledge Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities Awareness of health and safety practices within a working environment Willing to undertake relevant training e.g. induction training, or NVQ / QCF level 2 Proficiency in understanding, communicating and writing in English to level required by the duties of the post Basic numeracy required by the duties of the post (as endorsed by appropriate qualification or use of numeracy skills in a work or home environment).
